PRIVACY POLICY

Your records stay in your hands.

This policy explains how librett.org handles website visits and support messages, and how that differs from the tournament data you keep in LibreTT Desktop.

Last updated: October 17, 2026.

Who is responsible?

LibreTT is maintained by Aleksa Dimitrijević in Serbia. For privacy questions or requests about information handled by this website or project support, email [email protected].

LibreTT Desktop: local tournament data

Desktop stores the player, club, registration, payment and match information you enter in a local database on your computer. Using Desktop does not require an online account. Visiting this website does not give us access to that database. Backups and exports remain under your control unless you choose to share them.

When you visit this website

Serving pages and installer downloads involves technical information such as your IP address, requested URL, request time, browser information and response status. Hosting and security infrastructure may process this information to deliver the site, diagnose errors and prevent abuse. A download request does not include your local tournament database.

Cookies and site features

The current public site does not include advertising or third-party analytics scripts. WordPress uses cookies for administrator sign-in, and security services may use cookies or similar browser features when needed to protect the site. You can manage cookies in your browser; blocking necessary cookies may affect sign-in or security checks.

Hosting and Cloudflare

This website is hosted and served from Pluto, Aleksa Dimitrijević’s own home server in Serbia. Aleksa operates the server and the website’s application and database. You can read more about Pluto and the self-hosted infrastructure. Cloudflare sits in front of the home server to help deliver and protect the website, and may process technical request information through infrastructure outside your country. Read Cloudflare’s privacy policy for details about its processing. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising profiles.

When you contact support

If you email the project, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you send. We use them to respond, investigate problems and maintain relevant support history. Email providers also process messages as part of delivery. Share only what is needed: use synthetic examples and remove player contact details, credentials and private notes.

GitHub and other external services

Source code, releases and issue trackers are hosted on GitHub. Following those links takes you to a separate service governed by its own privacy statement. Public issues and attachments can be read by others. Do not post real player databases or backups. Other external links are governed by the destination site’s policies.

Why information is used and how long it is kept

We use technical information to operate and secure the website and support correspondence to answer requests and resolve issues. Where applicable, these activities rely on legitimate interests in running a secure project and responding to people who contact us. Information is kept only as long as needed for these purposes, resolving ongoing issues or meeting applicable legal obligations. Retention in provider systems and backups can vary; contact us for details about a specific request.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can ask what personal information we hold about you and request access, correction or deletion. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to object to processing, restrict it, request portability or complain to a competent data-protection authority. Email [email protected]; we may need to verify your identity. We cannot access or erase records held only on your computer or by an independent tournament organizer.

Player records and independent organizers

If a club or organizer records your information in Desktop or publishes it using the WordPress plugin, contact that organizer about their collection, publication, retention or deletion of your records. They control that use of the software. This website policy does not replace their own privacy responsibilities, including appropriate handling of children’s information.

Related projects and future changes

Player Registry is not currently a released public service. Any future public registry or connected service will need information about its actual data handling before use. We will update this page when the website’s practices change and show the revised date above.
